I so enjoy that my daughter is diverse in her interests, the friends that she has and her life. She can be such a little girl as you might expect. She loves to dress-up and feel pretty (as pretty as she always is): Dresses, skirts, dress-up shoes, jewelry, nail polish, a purse, you name it. Nora looked beautiful this weekend to attend our cousin Tessa's baby shower. She wore her pretty, purple striped dress with purple sequins on it and she had on a pretty white sweater (removed in pictures because she was hot and there was punch**). She wore her "high heels" too - strapy-white dress shoes.
While she does enjoy being 'girlie' - look out. She is easily my ** dirtiest kid - BY FAR! Hence the removal of the white sweater with punch for lunch. I do not buy anything white anymore and I bleach her socks with her Daddy's socks while the boys' sock still wash with the color clothes. The pink coat in the picture is brown and gray at the sleeves, zipper and collar despite regular washing and oxi-clean. She plays hard! She likes dirt. She enjoys rolling in the mulch and playing and jumping and wrestling! Thank goodness because her feet get her in trouble on a regular basis. 
Nora is dramatic, emotional, sweet and sensitive. She loves to pose for the camera - when in the mood and pours it on thick! 
Nora has great friends - boys and girls. She equally tires of both. She wants both worlds and I am here to tell her to embrace it. Do what she likes, go after the things that make her happy.She is playing t-ball/instructional baseball this year. The girl's softball league begins at age 7 following this league. There is a new girlfriend on the team and the rest are boys. She loves it. She doing really well at fielding and has already gotten a few hits from pitches rather than the T. Many of the kids are daycare/school friends but there are some new friends as well. As I would expect for her, she is more than holding her own.
When Nora dressed for the game on Saturday, she was concerned that she looked like a boy. I think she is more than fine with playing with the boys but didn't really want to look like a clone to them. I told her that she would never look like a boy with her pretty hair hanging out of her hat. Did I mention the spinning on the field or the prancing to base? I'll try to get some video.
